Who we are
Tamil Invoice is an invoice management and payment collection platform available through comcnct.com.au and the Tamil Invoice mobile app. For privacy questions, contact tamilaustraliaevents@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use Tamil Invoice as a business owner, account user, customer, or invoice recipient. We aim to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy obligations, including the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.
Information we collect
We may collect account details such as name, email address, phone number, authentication method, device information, and support messages. We may collect business profile details such as business name, ABN, address, business email, logo, Stripe Connect status, subscription status, plan usage, and payment setup status.
When you create or send invoices, we collect invoice data such as client name, client email, client phone, invoice line items, amounts, due dates, notes, payment status, payment channel, and related workflow history.
If you allow device permissions, we may receive information needed for that permission, such as push notification tokens, approximate location for payment setup or business profile convenience, or uploaded images selected by you. You can disable permissions in your device settings.
We do not collect full card numbers through Tamil Invoice. Card processing, payment links, App Store subscriptions, refunds, and payment authentication may be handled by Stripe, Apple, or another payment provider as applicable.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, maintain subscriptions and free tier usage, create and send invoices, send payment links, process payment status updates, provide receipts, operate reminders and workflows, support Stripe Connect payment setup, maintain security, troubleshoot incidents, respond to support requests, improve the platform, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell customer data
We do not sell personal information, customer lists, invoice recipient details, business records, or payment activity data. We do not allow third parties to use customer data for their own advertising or resale purposes.
When we share information
We only share information where reasonably needed to run Tamil Invoice, provide requested services, comply with law, protect the platform, or process payments. This may include service providers such as cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics or logging tools, Apple, Stripe, and professional advisers.
Invoice recipients may receive information that the business user chooses to include in an invoice, payment link, receipt, or reminder email. Business users are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use their clients' information for invoicing and payment collection.
International processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect information according to the service being supplied.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including authentication controls, transport security, restricted admin access, structured logs, and operational monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You must keep your login details secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal, tax, accounting, audit, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and operational requirements, and maintain backup integrity. We may delete, de-identify, or aggregate data when it is no longer required.
Access, correction, and deletion
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. You may also request deletion where legally and operationally possible. Some records, including invoices, payment events, logs, and compliance records, may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or dispute reasons.
Marketing
We may send service messages about your account, subscription, invoices, security, payments, maintenance, and policy changes. We will only send marketing communications where permitted and you can opt out of marketing messages.
Children
Tamil Invoice is intended for business users and is not directed to children. Do not use the service if you are not legally able to enter into these terms or operate the business account.
Complaints and contact
If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact tamilaustraliaevents@gmail.com. We will review and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another relevant regulator.
Changes
We may update this policy as the platform, laws, or our operations change. The current version will be available in the app and at comcnct.com.au.
